Setidaknya akan ada 50 mobil bersejarah yang akan menghiasi gelaran Concorso Villa d’Este 2018, akhir pekan ini, 25-27 Mei, di Hotel Villa d’Este, Italia. Tentunya akan menjadi momen istimewa berlatar danau Como yang dramatis.
Pameran mobil klasik tersebut merupakan prakarsa dari BMW Group Classic dan hotel mewah Villa d’Este. Mengangkat tema “Hollywood on the Lake”, menjejerkan mobil serta motor.
Selecting Committee telah menambahkan dua kelas baru yang di antaranya kategori pada hal desain aerodinamika era Art-Deco dan pastinya benar-benar dalam kondisi asli dalam perawatan.
Berikut adalah kategorinya:
1. The Titans: Dirt, Dust and Danger (1900 – 1939)
2. From Manhattan to Mayfair: The Golden Age of Motoring Opulence (1918 – 1939)
3. Shaped by the Wind: Grandes Routières of the Art Deco Era (1925 – 1940)
4. New World, New Ideas: The Story of the GT (1945 – 1965)
5. Speed Meets Style: The Flowering of the Sports and the Racing Car (1950 – 1970)
6. When Sex Was Safe and Racing Was Dangerous: Formula One! (1950 – 1988)
7. Hollywood On The Lake: Stars of the Silver Screen (1920’s hingga 1930’s)
8. Perfectly Preserved: Automotive Archaeology (1900 – 1980)
Kemudian untuk tahun kedelapan, Concorso di Motociclette in Cernobbio menghadirkan enam kategori untuk peserta, lima diantaranya sudah dinyatakan siap yakni :
Golden Years for American Motorcycles (1907 – 1917)
Luxury on 3 Wheels – Sidecars in the 1920s and 1930s (1920 – 1939)
Winning Italian Singles – 250cc Grand Prix Motorcycles (1949 – 1963)
New Clothes on British and German Motorcycles (1960 – 1970)
Motorcycle Design – New Concept Bikes and Prototypes
