Michel Bugatti (Ettore’s son) and his daughter Caroline played an active role in the gathering with Michel squeezing both his wife and grand-daughter into the cramped cockpit of his Type 30.
The Enthousiastes Bugatti Alsace, the Solo Brescia Club Bugatti France, The Bugatti Foundation and the mayor of the city were involved in the event’s organisation and tours included a visit to Ettore’s resting place in Dorlisheim on the first day, followed by a drive around the region and finishing with a parade through Molsheim to Ch?teau Saint Jean on the Sunday.
Type 57s were out in force with a dozen cars in just about every coachbuilt variation, but a wild bunch of Brescias stole the show with participants from the USA and Australia, though the furthest travelled devotee came from New Zealand.
Luxembourg-based Goy Feltes was awarded the Troph?e Fondation Bugatti concours prize for his racing Brescia.
Kees Jansen drove his 1936 #57432 Paleis Het Loo Bugatti 57 Atalante, with roll-back type roof, and signed copies of his Bugatti Register for The Netherlands and Belgium three-volume book.
